The impact you will have in this role
The People and Culture Coordinator plays a key role in supporting Camp Quality’s people and culture operations and ensuring a positive employee experience across the organisation.
Reporting to the People and Culture Business Partner, you’ll coordinate HR processes across recruitment, onboarding, engagement, systems and compliance. You’ll work closely with people leaders and team members across the country to support a high-performing, compassionate and connected workplace.
This is a hands-on, varied role with scope to grow and contribute to the evolution of people systems, projects and culture initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process – including advertising, interview scheduling, preparing employment documents, and welcoming new starters
- Support respectful and well-managed offboarding processes, ensuring all compliance and communication needs are met
- Maintain HR systems including HRIS and LMS; generate reports and support data accuracy and insights-led decision making
- Assist in the delivery of staff engagement and recognition programs, including internal nominations, rewards and surveys
- Contribute to internal communications by drafting and editing content for The Buzz, Camp Quality’s monthly staff newsletter
- Respond to HR enquiries and provide practical, values-led support to employees and managers
- Support initiatives that promote positive workplace culture, compliance, wellbeing and retention
- Assist with performance and remuneration review processes, ensuring accuracy and clear communication
- Identify opportunities to improve HR systems, processes and practices to enhance the employee experience
Skills and experience
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re a self-starter with strong people skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to stay organised while supporting a diverse team. You will also have:
- 2+ years’ experience in HR coordination or recruitment support roles
- Experience using a HRIS and Microsoft Office, with strong administrative skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Strong organisation and time management skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities
- A people-first mindset with high levels of empathy and discretion
- Current Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field (preferred)
- Passionate about the work of Camp Quality and aligned with its mission
