About the role

Howlong Golf Resort is seeking a highly organised and experienced People & Culture Coordinator to join our team. This full-time position is based in Howlong, NSW. As the People and Culture Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support along with assisting with day to day administrative duties in the office.

What you'll be doing

- Play a key role within the payroll process by managing the full employee lifecycle.

(Composing of contractual agreements in consultation with Executive Management, conducting on boarding and off-boarding procedures, facilitating staff inductions as well as managing termination processes).

- Oversee all HR-related administration, including maintaining employee records, processing payroll and leave requests.

- Maintain compliance, training and risk registers.

- Manage employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies and practices and employment legislation.

- Handle general office administration tasks, such as assisting with answering phones and providing customer service to members and guests

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and processes.

- Develop and implement people and culture strategies that support the overall business objectives and contribute to the organization's success.

- Develop and implement training programs, identifying learning needs, and promoting continuous professional development.

- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that are aligned with legal and ethical requirements.

- Marketing duties will be incorporated into the role.

To be considered for this role, you will possess the following

- Minimum 3 years' experience in a HR Generalist position, ideally within the hospitality or tourism industry

- Possess a strong working knowledge and guidance on HR Best Practices (policies, procedures and employment relations issues under Australian employment laws)

- Ability to manage HR projects from start to finish.

- Problem-solving and analytical skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels

- Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills

- Proficient in using HR and Office management software (Employment Hero and Microsoft Office and MYOB)

- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related field is highly desirable.
