Donnybrook Dairy is a well-established Melbourne-based business in the food manufacturing industry, specialising in high-quality products made from milk. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager / Operations Manager (Manufacturing) to lead our manufacturing operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance across all production activities.

About the Role
This full-time position is responsible for planning, organising, directing, controlling, and coordinating our dairy manufacturing operations, managing both physical and human resources. You will ensure production targets are met while maintaining strict adherence to food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Drive continuous product and process improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations to address production issues and implement effective corrective actions.

Develop and execute improvement plans to enhance efficiency, quality, and operational performance.

Provide ongoing technical and operational support to the production team.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise processes and minimise downtime.

Support the introduction and integration of new equipment, technologies, and production methods.

Monitor performance metrics and ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and WHS requirements.

About You

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is essential.

Familiarity with the food manufacturing industry (dairy industry experience highly regarded).

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Knowledge of milk-based food production processes and industry regulations.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Preferred Languages: English (required), Turkish (preferred) to engage effectively with a culturally diverse workforce and suppliers.
