About the role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to join our team at Pirtek Geelong North Pty Ltd. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing and logistics business, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of our products and services. This is a full-time role based in Geelong, VIC 3215.

What you'll be doing

Develop and implement operational strategies to drive productivity, efficiency and cost-effectiveness

Oversee the scheduling and coordination of manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution activities

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement

Manage and lead a team of operational staff, providing guidance, support and mentorship

Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and safety standards

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve operational issues

Contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role in the manufacturing, transport or logistics industries

Strong understanding of operational processes, supply chain management and lean manufacturing principles

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to think strategically

Skilled in leading and motivating teams, with a focus on fostering a positive and collaborative work environment

Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret and act on key performance metrics

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels

Relevant tertiary qualification in a related field, such as Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics
