The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and solutions-focused Business Analyst to join the Portfolio Management Directorate, supporting the Department's transport infrastructure program delivery.
In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Portfolio Systems Analyst to support the Department's project management system and reporting platforms. Your contribution will help drive continuous improvement through system enhancements and better use of business intelligence tools, ensuring reporting capabilities meet both operational and strategic needs.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a collaborative team that plays a key role in enabling the successful delivery of transport infrastructure projects across South Australia.
About you
You are a detail-oriented and analytical professional who enjoys problem-solving and working with systems to improve outcomes. You are comfortable working under broad direction, meeting tight deadlines, and supporting a continuous improvement culture.
You'll bring:
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to understand and respond to user needs.
Well-developed problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach to resolving technical or process challenges.
Experience with reporting platforms and project management systems.
High-level analytical and research skills to evaluate data and prepare clear, tailored advice for a range of audiences.
A flexible and solution-focused mindset, with the initiative to identify improvements and deliver results.

Educational Qualifications
A degree or equivalent in Information Technology
A Qualification project Management is desirable
Special Conditions
A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
