About the role
As a Senior Business Analyst with TAFE SA, you will play a key role in driving strategic planning, delivery, and evaluation of complex business analysis programs. This role involves thorough technical and business analysis of complex systems, gathering and documenting requirements, and leading workshops to inform project direction. You will work closely with diverse project stakeholders to model business processes, recommend solutions, and identify risk mitigation measures.

Key functions
- Proven experience working as a Business Analyst in Agile delivery environments, ideally within cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (e.g. Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and the ability to apply Agile principles to business analysis activities.
- Demonstrated ability to elicit and document business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria with clarity and precision.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across business and technical teams.
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Miro or equivalent for managing backlogs, documentation and collaboration.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Experience facilitating workshops, interviews and discovery sessions to gather and validate requirements.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with business process modelling, data analysis and user experience principles are highly regarded.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, IT, or a related discipline.

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
- Some out of hours work will be required.
- Some intra/interstate travel and overnight absences may be required.
- Incumbent will be required to participate in the department’s Performance Development Program.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.

Remuneration
Remuneration will reflect the expertise and experience you bring to the role, with competitive pay and flexible work arrangements making this a fantastic opportunity to make your mark. The successful candidate may be offered an additional capped allowance of up to 20% for a period of up to two years, subject to business requirements and candidate’s experience.
