About Us
Termi Home and Commercial Toowoomba is a National organisation with a range of products and services with multiple divisions offering waterproofing, the Termimesh & Smartfilm termite barrier systems, epoxy & polished concrete flooring, artificial turf and pest control for the residential and commercial construction industry.
The Role
This is a multifaceted role encompassing full function finance and payroll duties. Looking after all accounts receivable/payable and BAS, as well as preparing monthly reports, stock take adjustments and daily bank reconciliations. Other duties include supporting the Director and bringing structure and efficiency to our administration and financial operations, and an organised office environment. This is a busy and varied role, working across multiple divisions and entities, where you will have the opportunity to shape and improve how we work.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day bookkeeping across multiple entities using Xero
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Processing payroll, superannuation and employee entitlements
Maintaining accurate employee information and onboarding
BAS preparation and lodgment
Preparation of monthly financial reports for management
Preparing divisional costings and projections
Liaise with external accountant for EOFY prep and tax support
Maintain up-to-date registrations, insurances, and compliance documents
General associated office administration duties
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in end-to-end bookkeeping and accounts management (minimum 5 years)
Relevant qualification as a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping is highly desirable (but not essential)
Advanced knowledge of Xero, and intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
Strong understanding of financial compliance, BAS, super, and payroll
A high level of organisation and attention to detail, must be able to prioritise competing deadlines and tasks
Excellent communication and time-management skills
Comfortable working independently and proactively
A mature and confident communicator and collaborator across a small team
Eagerness to improve systems and suggest new ways of doing things
Experience working in a similar role within a construction trade-based business (highly desirable but not essential)
