Are you a hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic hospitality environments? Located just 10 minutes south of the Cairns CBD, our vibrant 4-star resort is looking for an experienced and service-driven Resort & Front Office Manager to take the lead in delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine leadership, operations, and guest relations in a role where no two days are the same.
About the Role
As the Resort & Front Office Manager, you’ll be responsible for the smooth running of the resort’s front-of-house operations. You’ll oversee all aspects of guest services, staff management, compliance, and operational excellence — ensuring every guest, long-term tenant, and owner occupier enjoys a welcoming and high-quality experience.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service
Ensure a consistently high standard of guest service from check-in to check-out.
Address guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally and promptly.
Provide local insights, manage tour bookings, and promote resort facilities.
Front Office & Operational Management
Oversee the day-to-day running of the front office, reception, and reservations.
Manage room inventory to optimise occupancy and revenue.
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for room readiness and upkeep.
Ensure accurate handling of guest accounts and transactions.
Team Leadership
Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise staff.
Foster a motivated, service-oriented team culture.
Monitor performance and conduct regular feedback and reviews.
Compliance, Systems & Stock
Ensure full compliance with health and safety standards, property regulations, and emergency procedures.
Perform regular room inspections for cleanliness and quality assurance.
Maintain stock control and ordering of front office supplies, linen, and consumables.
Use and manage Hirum (or similar) property management system with confidence.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 3 years' experience in front office or resort/hotel management.
Certificate III, Diploma, or relevant qualification in Hospitality, Tourism, or Management (preferred).
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, service-oriented environment with high guest interaction.
Tech-savvy with knowledge of reservations systems (Hirum experience desirable).
Full time Monday to Friday, including some weekends and public holidays.
