About the Role

We’re in the early stages of establishing For Impact Advisory, a not-for-profit financial services firm that will deliver high-quality bookkeeping and virtual CFO support, while reinvesting profits into training, employment, and long-term career pathways for Indigenous Australians.

We’ve built the model and the vision. We’re now looking for a Practice Manager to step in and lead the day-to-day operations, deliver exceptional service to our clients, and help shape the foundation of this mission-driven organisation.

You’ll be supported by a leadership team that supports and guides the marketing, strategic growth, and infrastructure, your role is to run the practice, lead the team, and ensure smooth, high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily operations across bookkeeping, payroll, and virtual CFO services

Lead and mentor a growing team of finance staff

Act as the primary contact for clients and manage service relationships

Deliver or oversee CFO-level advice and financial insights

Maintain strong systems and processes (Xero-based stack)

Contribute to strategy, pricing, and resourcing as the practice scales

About You

Registered BAS or Tax Agent (or eligible)

Strong experience in bookkeeping, and advisory roles

Confident managing a client portfolio and leading a small team

Skilled in Xero, payroll, and cloud-based financial tools

Process-driven, organised, and proactive in solving problems

Comfortable taking ownership and stepping into a leadership role

Motivated by purpose and excited to help build something impactful

Nice to Have

Experience in a practice management or firm leadership role

Familiarity with Indigenous organisations, NFPs, or social enterprise settings
