PDHS Wholesale Supplies seeking a detail-oriented and reliable internal Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer to join the team in our new Cairns store.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured fast-paced environment and enjoys working with numbers, systems, and people.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable/ Receivable Management & Invoicing—Invoicing, sending Bi-Monthly statements, collections, reconciliation/preparation of weekly ABA for supplier payments, follow up on outstanding accounts
Bank and Credit Card Reconciliation—daily reconciliation of bank and credit card statements to ensure all transactions are accounted for,
Financial reporting— Preparing and submitting Business Activity Statements (BAS), IAS & Superannuation payments
Tax-ready books—preparations of financial records to support smooth and accurate tax filing for end-of-financial-year coordination with external accountants.
Payroll Management: Process and manage accurate payroll
Pricing- Maintaining and updating pricing within our Inventory and Point of sale software
Inward Stock Receipting- costing, receipting, and processing inward stock into the inventory/Accounting system
Inventory & POS- Accurately maintain and update our Inventory Management and Point of Sale systems
Other Duties:
Collaboration with the team to improve financial processes and procedures with invoicing/credits and returns
Providing excellent customer service to our SME business clients
Banking cash, taking phone payments
Supplier Rebate submissions
System and product set-up/updates
✅Who/What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles with minimum qualification of Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping
BAS agent registered
Proficiency with XERO accounting software and strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax legislation, and bookkeeping best practices
Minimum 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within a small to medium-sized business or accounting practice/Bookkeeping practice
A wiz with Tech – someone that is great with learning and improving processes within internal software
Someone that loves a good spreadsheet and is proficient in Excel
Strong attention to detail, analytical and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with ability to work independently and as part of a team
A problem-solving mindset and the ability to provide practical financial advice/solutions
