Business Development Manager – Industrial Sales (Hydraulics)
Newcastle or Sydney | $120K + Super + Car Allowance + Bonus

Do you have experience selling industrial products, hydraulics or mechanical services? Are you a driven hunter who thrives on building new client relationships and winning work?

We’ve partnered with a global leader in hydraulic and industrial hose solutions, to recruit experienced Business Development Managers – one based in Sydney, and the other in Newcastle. These roles are newly created to support growth and target new business opportunities in key regions.

The Role

This is a new business development manager role focused on identifying and winning new accounts across your region. You'll be responsible for prospecting target clients, pitching tailored solutions, and working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver technical product support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business across target industries (Agri, construction, civil, industrial, etc)
  • Identify, qualify and convert leads into long-term clients
  • Conduct site visits, build relationships with key decision-makers, offering practical advise and solutions.
  • Promote technical products and solutions tailored to client needs
  • Prepare quotes and proposals with support from the internal team
  • Maintain records in CRM and report on activity and pipeline
  • Represent the company at trade events and networking opportunities

Applicant Requirements

  • Proven experience in external sales / BDM roles in a relevant industry: hydraulics, Fluid power, pneumatics
  • Hunter mindset with the ability to generate new business
  • Technically savvy and able to understand client applications
  • Self-motivated, proactive and results-focused
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Current driver's licence and willingness to travel across your territory
