Through continued growth of our Service and Projects Divisions, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Business Development Manager to join the team.

The Role

Reporting to the Management Team, the Business Development Manager will drive growth within our Service and Projects Divisions, focusing on both expanding new business and supporting retention strategies with existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively identify and secure new service maintenance contracts

Collaborate with Customer Account Managers and Service Managers to enhance client engagement and retention

Lead competitive contract renewals and long-term client agreements

Build relationships across key sectors: consultants, builders, facility managers, subcontractors & suppliers

Prepare persuasive, high-quality bid submissions that reflect Velocity Air’s value and capabilities

Develop accurate quotes using estimating tools and market pricing insights

Manage tender responses, quotation registers, and sales handovers

Foster a collaborative, proactive sales culture within the team

Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management (ideally within the mechanical services sector)

A strong understanding of service maintenance operations and market drivers

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Strong organisational and time management capabilities

A customer-first mindset with solid relationship-building skills

Financial acumen and confidence with estimating and pricing tools
