We are looking for a hands-on, commercially savvy Finance Manager to own and lead our finance function. You'll be the CEO's right hand when it comes to the financials, steering reporting, budgeting, cash flow and driving strategic insights to support our next stage of growth.

Based in either Sydney or Canberra in a hybrid environment, this is a great chance to shape Message Stick's financial operations in a high-impact role, with the flexibility of a 3-day work week.

What You'll Do

Own all reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow

Partner with the CEO and board on strategic financial decision-making

Ensure compliance and manage external bookkeepers

Drive process improvements and financial automation

Deliver insights that help us scale with purpose and precision

About You

Degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/CA preferred)

5+ years in finance management, ideally in services or project-based businesses

Commercially sharp, detail-obsessed and a trusted advisor

Self-starter with strategic nous

Proficient in Xero, Excel and building financial models

Experience in the technology sector an advantage

Must have current Australian work rights
