My client is a well-established supplier of high-quality building materials used across commercial, residential, and civil construction projects. Known for their strong relationships with builders, contractors, and developers, they have built a reputation for reliable service, durable products, and on-site expertise. As demand continues to grow, they are looking to appoint a driven Account Manager to join their team and manage a portfolio of loyal trade clients.
Role Description
This is a hands-on sales role focused on managing and growing key customer accounts across a defined territory whilst having a focus on new business. You'll work closely with builders, project managers, and procurement teams to ensure their supply needs are met efficiently. Your role will involve regular site visits, quoting, order coordination, and identifying opportunities to grow sales within existing and new accounts.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing an established portfolio of clients
Building strong relationships across stakeholders
Quoting and pricing jobs in line with margin expectations
Providing product support and technical guidance when required
Identifying growth opportunities and new business in your territory
Liaising with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and service
Role Requirements
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
Previous experience in account management or sales
Strong knowledge of building materials or construction products
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proven ability to build trust with trade-based customers
Comfortable working autonomously and managing your own schedule
Current driver's licence (vehicle provided or allowance discussed)

Salary and Benefits
Base $90k - $110k + Super 12% + Company Car + Commission
