The Company
Our Melbourne based client are an established, family-owned organisation who develop and manufacture a vast range of sustainable plastics for large retail companies globally. With their HQ based in Melbourne they are operating across 35+ countries worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Market research & consumer trend analysis. Ensuring concepts are highly commercial and leading the market style, innovation and price points.
• Prototyping of design concepts using a variety of methods – mock ups, 3D printing and working with the in-house design team.
• Interpreting concept designs into Solidworks.
• Assisting and mentoring Junior designers.
• Ensuring all products meet safety, sustainability & quality standards.

Your Background/Experience

• Tertiary qualifications across Industrial Designing/Product Design Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ industry experience.
• Must have extensive experience with injection moulded products & thin layered plastics.
• Must have extensive Solidworks experience - master modelling & surface modelling.
