We are seeking an experienced Casual Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team. This role requires flexibility and availability to work shifts between 6:30am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, covering a range of morning and afternoon shifts as required.

This is a hands-on position where you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service in a busy general practice environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients and manage front desk reception duties.

Answer telephone calls, manage appointments, and coordinate bookings.

Process patient billings, Medicare/DVA/TAC claims, and private accounts.

Liaise with doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and external providers.

Manage incoming/outgoing correspondence and maintain patient records.

General administrative tasks to support daily clinic operations.

About You:

Previous medical reception experience is essential.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong computer skills (experience with [Best Practice/MedicalDirector/Other PMS] desirable).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

High attention to detail, organisational skills, and a professional presentation.

Availability between 6:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday (rostered casual shifts).
