About the role:

This role reports to the Loss Prevention Team Leader and supports internal and external customers in providing a range of best-in-class loss recovery services. Managing a portfolio of high-risk accounts in arrears, you will be responsible for ensuring that all regulatory requirements are maintained while making sound decisions to effectively manage your respective portfolio, reducing delinquency and mitigating or reducing losses.

Location: Sydney - Macquarie Park

Salary: $85,000 - $90,000 + super + bonus

Work Pattern: Full-time permanent role - Monday to Friday - Hybrid (2 days pw in the offices)

Duties:

Managing a portfolio of high-risk arrears accounts, referred from the Late Arrears team.

Using a high degree of commercial acumen to determine whether the debt should be written off or referred to a mercantile agency.

Utilising active call listening skills and collections experience to establish immediate payments or suitable payment plans.

Providing clear instructions to mercantile agency partners on what actions are required to investigate all possible resolutions thoroughly.

Engaging with auction house partners to manage the asset sale process and follow through with funds disbursement.

Skills & Experience required:

Demonstrable knowledge of the Financial Service/ Asset Finance industry with a deep understanding of Debt Collections Guidelines and NCCP

Relevant collections and/ or loss recovery experience in a responsible lending environment

High level of knowledge and experience in negotiating with customers

Proven success in the management, direction, and engagement with mercantile agencies and auction houses.

Experience with dealing with stressful or challenging situations.

Highly organised with the ability to work as a team player.

Dedicated and reliable.
