HOBAN is seeking a Collections Officer to join our clients' team in located in Wetherill Park, NSW. Our client is a global leader in motor products and provides innovative and competitive finance solutions tailored to its customers, supporting the purchase of motorcycles, marine products, and power equipment. As part of a dynamic and growing financial services team, you'll be helping to deliver customer-focused solutions while maintaining high standards of integrity and excellence.

Shift Time: 9am-5pm

Duties of the role:

• Assist in the maintenance and administration of accounts receivable portfolio.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with consumers via inbound and outbound communication channels.
• Maintain accurate account records based on communication with customers.
• Negotiate payment plans with customers.
• Successfully provide quality resolution of disputed accounts
• Adhere to industry good practice, legislative compliance and quality customer service principles.
• Prepare and despatch arrears notices to customers in a timely manner.
• Administer and alter direct debit runs of loan accounts.
• Prepare and monitor variations for loan accounts in arrears.
• Review documentation to ensure compliance with the companies policy.
• Assist customers in rectifying discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with all customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with NCCP, Privacy Act, Trade Practices Act as well as company policies and procedures.

About You:

• Previous experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related financial services role
• Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
• Knowledge of consumer credit products and relevant regulatory frameworks (NCCP, ASIC, Privacy)
• High attention to detail and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with collections or CRM software
• A customer-first mindset with the ability to balance empathy and assertiveness
