A large, well-regarded utilities provider in Newcastle has asked us to assist them in recruiting an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for a 6–12 month contract.

This role is ideal for an operational HR professional with strong IR/ER experience and a background in industrial or unionised environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Partnering – Collaborate with senior leaders to align HR strategies with business goals
• Employee & Industrial Relations – Manage ER/IR matters with confidence and expertise
• Change & Culture – Support change management efforts while nurturing a positive and inclusive workplace culture
• Compliance & Risk – Ensure alignment with legislation, policies, and enterprise agreements
• Strategic HR Support – Advise on performance, workforce planning, and organisational change initiatives

✔️ What You’ll Bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline
• Extensive experience in HR business partnering, ideally in a complex or industrial environment
• Strong working knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments, and HR best practices
• Proven experience in IR/ER case management
• Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to influence and partner with stakeholders across all levels of the business
