THE ORGANISATION
Our client is a well-established not-for-profit organisation with a broad operational footprint. It manages a diverse portfolio of services and enterprises designed to support its community initiatives, including large-scale retail operations and service delivery networks. The organisation is structured with strong governance and relies on a mix of paid employees and volunteers.

THE ROLE
Reporting to the Manager of People Services, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing guidance, coaching, and practical solutions on a wide range of workforce matters. You will lead initiatives in areas such as workforce planning, organisational design, change management, employee performance, talent development, and workplace relations. By partnering with specialist teams across Safety, Employee Relations, People Services, Culture and Organisational Development, and People Systems, you will deliver integrated solutions that meet the needs of the business. A key part of the role will involve building strong partnerships with managers and supporting them to enhance leadership capability and team outcomes. You will also contribute to improving processes, policies, and practices that drive continuous improvement and align with the organisation’s broader objectives.

Please note this is a short-term role for a period of 3 months covering a period of absence in the team, starting mid-August.

THE CRITERIA
To be successful you will be a proactive and consultative HR professional who is comfortable working in environments where change is constant, and processes are still evolving. The ideal candidate will bring strong influencing skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to support and coach leaders through ambiguity. You will have ideally supported a diverse range of client groups, with exposure to the retail sector. This role would also suit a strong Senior HR Advisor looking for a step up into a business partnering role.
