We're looking for a confident and capable Sous Chef to step into a key leadership role at an upmarket Mediterranean-inspired restaurant delivering vibrant, produce-driven food across both a la carte service and large-scale events.

This is a high-output kitchen with strong systems, a collaborative team, and a clear focus on consistency, quality, and growth. If you're a Sous Chef with a steady hand on the tools, strong operational awareness, and a desire to step up in a serious kitchen, this could be your next move.

About the Role

Support the Head Chef in running day-to-day BOH operations

Lead the team through busy services and event executions, ensuring pace, precision, and high standards

Take ownership of key areas like prep systems, ordering, compliance, and service readiness

Help mentor junior chefs, keep the kitchen organised, and maintain strong communication with FOH

Work across a la carte and event service, with exposure to menu rollouts, functions, and creative specials

Be hands-on and solution-focused - this kitchen values people who lead from the front













What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a busy, quality-focused kitchen

Comfortable working in a high-volume environment with a blend of restaurant and event trade

A background in Mediterranean, Modern Australian, or European cuisine is preferred

Excellent kitchen systems knowledge - confident with HACCP, prep workflows, and rostering support

Calm, communicative, and accountable - a natural team player with leadership qualities
