Our client is seeking an Inside Sales professional to manage and grow a portfolio of customers, driving sales and boosting profits through new products and fresh opportunities.
This full-time, permanent role sits at the heart of a thriving Food & Nutrition business. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, you’ll be the vital link between customers and the business—ensuring needs are met, opportunities are identified early, and innovative solutions are brought to market.
You’ll work closely with Quality, Product Management, Regulatory, and Logistics teams to ensure customers receive accurate information and timely deliveries. Your collaboration will help maintain high service standards, ensure compliance with industry requirements, and keep products moving smoothly from order to delivery.
Perfect for NPD professionals who love the technical side but want to step into sales, you’ll use your expertise to advise on ingredient solutions while building commercial skills. You’ll help customers formulate and launch products, blending your product development know‑how with a growing understanding of business and sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Service the current base, increase and develop the sales portfolio to achieve Sales Gross Profit Targets
Provide technical advice on food ingredient specifications and use in formulations
Initiate and develop customer account strategies, based on existing and future customer requirements
Develop new customers
Assist customer service with new enquiries
Regular customer contact to ensure products and service levels are meeting customer needs
Continually promote new product lines as they become available
Assist in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints
Help monitor financial performance and support planning and management of resources.
Maintain all data in company CRM and meet agreed call plan targets
Endeavour to obtain customer, competitor, product information from the industry and make appropriate recommendations to maintain/increase business.
Prepare to coordinate and attend external Customer visits from time to time
SELECTION CRITERIA
A degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related scientific/food discipline
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High level of organisation and prioritisation
Strong problem solving capabilites
Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture
Fluent English and strong IT literacy
