We are in the market looking for an awesome Senior Account Manager Sales and Nutrition to join our wonderful client! Working within a close-knit team you will be joining a team of successful long term and experienced individuals in the stockfeed industry.
With sites across regional Victoria, and customers spread across Victoria, South Australia and NSW, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Sales Account Manager looking to take the next stage in their career. Based in South-Western Region of Victoria, with a base of either Cobden or Camperdown, you will have the capability and experience to grow, nurture and develop long term positive working relationships with the customers in the region. Your passion for the agriculture industry, your knowledge of stockfeed, and your customer awareness will see you significantly contribute to the growth and stability of this well-known, privately owned and respected operation.
This is a tough time for our farmers right now, hence empathy is going to be a key ingredient in your "soft skills". As the Senior Account Manager you will be responsible for proactively retaining and increasing the existing customer base to drive growth in the ruminant segment. Finding yourself on the road one day, on site at the Cobden plant the next, no day will be the same
With a direct reporting line to Head of Commercial Sales, you day would look like:
Creation of sales and account management plans
Identification of new business development opportunities
Regular engagement & communication with all relevant business stakeholders
Face to Face on site visits with the awesome customers
Understanding and advising customers on feed programs as required
Regular reporting requirements
Checking in on your numbers ie sales/forecast/budget
Mentoring fellow account managers
Now for the fun stuff:
Keep talking - attend relevant field days and industry related events
Take a vested interest in your own self development
Be proactive and learn all about products on offer and how they are made
Be across market trends and conditions related to you and your role
Get amongst OHS and ensure you customers are operating in safe environment in order for you to attend site
What you will bring:
Demonstrated experience with a proven track record in agricultural stockfeed sales, account management and business development in the industry (stockfeed is advantage)
Solid understanding of the sales cycle and process
High energy, enthusiasm and the drive to succeed
Exceptional relationship building skills
Excellent time management and negotiation skills
Willingness to be a part of the broader team
Relevant tertiary qualifications in agribusiness would be highly regarded
You will be a strong communicator with proven engagement and organisational skills, who takes pride in supplying your customers, with a consistently high standard of trusted product. Your “can-do” attitude, knowledge and on-site presence will ensure your success.
