About the Role
We are seeking passionate and experienced Chefs and Chef de Parties to join our dedicated kitchen team at Sawyer’s Bistro. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a supportive environment, working with quality ingredients to deliver excellent meals for a diverse customer base.
You will play a key role in the preparation and presentation of dishes, supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in maintaining the high standards our bistro is known for.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes within your designated section, ensuring flavour, consistency, and presentation standards are met.
· Follow established recipes and portion controls while contributing to the overall quality and consistency of the menu.
· Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service, especially during busy periods.
· Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards in compliance with health regulations.
· Assist with stock control, ordering, and rotation to minimise waste and ensure efficiency.
· Support, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff as required.
· Contribute creative ideas to seasonal menu updates, aligning with the Bistro’s casual yet high-quality dining focus.
· Ensure all dishes are prepared to accommodate dietary requirements, allergens, and special requests with care and accuracy.
About You
Minimum one year’s experience as a Cook or Chef in a quality dining or bistro environment.
Passionate about delivering excellent food with strong technical cooking skills.
Calm under pressure, organised, and committed to producing consistently high-quality meals.
Strong time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.
Food safety and hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain).
