We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team at The bay hotel and diner , Maroubra . As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for overseeing one particular section of the kitchen, ensuring exceptional food quality and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes for your assigned station

- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and organization in your work area

- Train and supervise commis chefs and other kitchen staff on your station

- Collaborate with the Head Chef and other Chefs de Partie to coordinate the entire kitchen operation

- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the Sous Chef

- Contribute recipe ideas and menu development as needed

- Set an example of professionalism and strong work ethic for the kitchen team

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar leadership role in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen

- Formal culinary training or certification preferred

- Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen equipment

- Strong time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure in a hot, fast-paced environment

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
