Step into a high-impact leadership position at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital as Chief Radiographer within South Australian Medical Imaging (SAMI). This role is pivotal in overseeing the operational delivery of imaging services, ensuring excellence across Radiography, CT, MRI, Angiography, Sonography, Mammography and associated medical imaging teams.
Reporting to the Campus Operations Manager, you’ll manage workforce planning, quality improvement initiatives, and resource coordination, all within a 24/7 medical imaging service framework.
In this diverse and rewarding role, you’ll drive service innovation, implement quality systems and provide strategic input into procurement, training, research, safety and performance development across modalities. You’ll be leading a large team of allied health professionals, guiding their development, performance, and service contributions to a unified, state-wide public imaging network that serves South Australians across metro and regional hospitals.
About You
You are a skilled clinical leader with deep expertise in radiography and medical imaging operations. You’re passionate about quality, safety, and team leadership—and ready to shape the future of imaging services across SAMI.
You will bring:
Current AHPRA registration and a Radiation Use Licence (SA) under the Radiation Protection and Control Act (SA)
Significant experience leading a large Allied Health team in a hospital-based medical imaging service
Proven capability, adaptability and resilience in leading diverse, multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication and collaborative leadership style
Proven skills in performance management, recruitment, service delivery, quality assurance and equipment procurement
- A proactive and innovative mindset for solving complex operational challenges
