About the role
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our Products - Warehouse team. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, you will support day-to-day operations across receiving, inventory control, freight coordination, staff supervision, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires operational expertise, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, dispatch, and stock control.
- Supervise and support warehouse staff, ensuring safe and timely completion of daily tasks.
- Liaise with freight providers and suppliers to manage deliveries and resolve logistics issues.
- Operate across all warehouse functions including forklift use and manual handling.
- Maintain equipment, cleanliness, and operational zones.
- Ensure ERP and warehouse systems are used accurately for order processing and stock tracking.
- Support KPI monitoring (e.g. pick accuracy, order fulfilment, turnaround time).
About you
You are a detail-oriented and safety-conscious warehouse leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’re confident working both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with the ability to guide and support others while managing your own responsibilities.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in warehouse operations, with supervisory or team lead exposure.
- Strong understanding of inventory handling, warehouse systems, and ERP platforms.
- Current forklift licence (reach and counterbalance).
- Experience across receiving, dispatch, and inventory control.
- Knowledge of WH&S legislation, compliance, and quality control procedures.
- Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- Certificate III in Warehousing Operations, Logistics, or similar (or equivalent experience).
