Role Overview – Events & Sales Manager
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Events & Sales Manager to lead our growing team at Mandavilla Events. This role is ideal for a highly organised communicator with a flair for creativity, a strong sales mindset, and a genuine love of hospitality.
You will oversee the full event journey — from initial enquiry to flawless delivery — while driving growth, shaping guest experiences, and supporting our team in bringing every celebration to life with precision and heart.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
• Convert enquiries into successful bookings across our three function spaces
• Develop strategic pricing, packages, and seasonal offerings
• Foster strong client and supplier relationships
• Identify new opportunities for growth and market reach
• Represent Mandavilla at community events, and industry showcases
Event Planning & Execution
• Oversee all event types including weddings, wakes, private events, and corporate events
• Manage event timelines, floor plans, run sheets, and vendor coordination
• Work closely with kitchen, bar, and operations teams to ensure smooth service
• Provide personalised client experiences from site inspection through to post-event feedback
Team Leadership
• Lead and mentor the events and front-of-house teams
• Assign roles and ensure clear communication for every event
• Cultivate a team culture focused on service excellence, flexibility, and accountability
Marketing & Innovation
• Collaborate on the development of event packages, menus, and collateral
• Contribute to social media, website content, and newsletters
• Innovate new event styles (e.g. multicultural nights, networking lunches, community markets)
Venue Standards & Client Experience
• Ensure all event rooms are presentation-ready at all times
• Uphold Mandavilla’s signature aesthetic and service values
• Act as the client’s main contact on event days to ensure everything runs to plan

Qualifications & Skills
• Proven experience in event management and sales (wedding/corporate experience highly regarded)
• Leadership and team coordination experience
• High-level communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Strong sense of design, styling, and guest experience
• Familiar with CRMs, Canva, Google Workspace, and venue software
• Able to multitask across projects and maintain a calm, solutions-driven approach
