About the role
Rydges World Square is seeking a highly motivated Conference & Events Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. In this full-time position based in Sydney CBD you will be responsible for leading the C&E sales team, managing your own portfolio of accounts and also planning and delivery of exceptional conference and event experiences for our valued customers.
What you'll be doing
Proactively identify and secure new conference and event business opportunities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
Prepare detailed event proposals and presentations to showcase our event spaces, Sydney Cidery bar, Amber Restaurant and 460 guest accommodation
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event execution
Monitor and report on sales performance, identifying strategies to maximise revenue
Provide exceptional customer service throughout the customer journey
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our conference and events offering
What we're looking for
Proven track record in sales and event management within the hospitality industry
Minimum 3-5 years proven track record in conference sales and event management within the hospitality industry
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and project management skills
Sound financial acumen to manage budgets and targets
Passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
Relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality, tourism or a related field
Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role
