We are seeking a skilled and experienced Distribution Centre Manager to oversee our distribution operations. The Distribution Centre Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our distribution centre, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent organisational skills, and a proven track record of success in managing distribution operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the distribution centre operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity within the distribution centre.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all shipments, while minimising errors and discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless coordination of operations.
• Analyse data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.

Our successful candidate will be / will have:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution centre management or similar role.
• Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of effectively managing teams.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems and other relevant software applications.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound business decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
