Who are St Pats?
St Patrick's Community Support Centre Limited (or St Pat's as it is affectionately known) is an award-winning not-for-profit homelessness support service and community housing provider. We have been working side-by-side with vulnerable people in the South Metropolitan region of Perth for more than 50 years. Our mission is to end homelessness in our community.
To achieve our mission, we work in partnership with government and human services agencies, businesses, and the broader community to provide a range of high-quality services delivered to break the cycle of poverty and disadvantage. These include housing, health and dental care, crisis intervention and emergency relief, social inclusion, and specialist support services.
Our collaborative integrated and person-centred approach allows us to be there for people at every stage of their journey out of homelessness.
About the Role
Are you a motivated and organised individual with a passion for supporting community services? This part-time administrative opportunity offers meaningful work within a welcoming team environment. You will play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly while aligning with a mission that makes a difference every day.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Assistance to team leaders and the wider team with data collation and documentation to ensure the program and organisation meets funding and internal reporting requirements.
Assistance with electronic and hardcopy filing in line with organisation policies, including archiving and record keeping in line with privacy principles.
Providing administrative support to teams as required including compliance with legislation, funding and agency guidelines and organisation policy and procedures
Assistance with data entry including accuracy of data.
Recordkeeping including, brokerage funds and petty cash.
Scheduling of meetings, creating agendas, and minute taking.
Assisting with preparation of reports
Essential Criteria
Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality administrative support, including managing files, handling correspondence, scheduling meetings and maintaining office systems.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate documentation, data entry, and record keeping in a fast paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with internal staff, clients, and external stakeholders.
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning new software or systems relevant to administration and data management.
Ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, adapt to changing priorities, and support colleagues to achieve shared goals.
Desirable
Experience supporting services for individuals experiencing complex and intersecting issues such as homelessness, disability, mental health conditions and trauma.
Evidence of training or demonstrated experience in applying trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centred approaches to support service delivery and engagement.
Evidence of training and/or experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, in a culturally respectful and safe manner.
