What you’ll be doing:
We're seeking a strategic and technically adept Cloud Lead who can drive cloud transformation across a critical emergency services organisation. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with deep expertise in AWS and sound knowledge in Azure cloud platforms, core networking (Cisco, F5), and Infrastructure as Code tools like focused on AWS CDK and knowledge in Terraform. They are a proactive technical leader who thrives in collaborative environments, mentors teams in DevOps practices, and ensures cloud solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with operational needs.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Hands-on technical leadership in AWS cloud architecture and knowledge of Azure platform.
- Expert in CDK-based infrastructure automation using TypeScript, C#
- Knowledge of core network infrastructure such as Cisco, F5
- A passion for public service and community impact
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

- Can you walk me through implementing a blue-green deployment strategy with AWS CDK, including your approach to automated provisioning, traffic management, and health monitoring with rollback capabilities? What programming language would you choose for the IaC implementation and why?
- Can you describe a scenario where you had to integrate Cisco network infrastructure with F5 load balancing in a hybrid cloud environment? What challenges did you face in terms of routing, security policies, and automation, and how did you resolve them?
