The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Front End Developer to lead the charge on modern web projects. This is a chance to take ownership, mentor others, and work with a team that values innovation and autonomy. You’ll be at the forefront of integrating AI-powered development workflows and intelligent user experiences.

What You’ll Do

Build responsive, accessible, and high-performance interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Next.js

Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to deliver seamless user experiences

Leverage Copilot, Cursor, and Claude to accelerate development, improve code quality, and enhance UX

Optimise for performance, SEO, and accessibility

Lead code reviews, contribute to architecture decisions, and mentor junior developers

Work on projects like:

NESA’s Digital Curriculum platform and AI agent for curriculum insights

Government intranets and public-facing services using SharePoint and headless CMSs

Search and discovery tools for education and health sectors

What You’ll Bring

5+ years of experience in front-end development

Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and modern tooling

Experience or keen interest in AI-assisted development and intelligent interfaces

Familiarity with headless CMSs (e.g. Kontent.ai, Contentful, Sanity) and design systems

Passion for clean code, performance, and user experience

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Bonus Points

Experience with CI/CD, unit testing, and serverless functions

Contributions to open-source or technical blogs

Based in Sydney or able to work in AEST hours
