The Opportunity

We're seeking an exceptional Senior Software Developer to join our small, dynamic team and take ownership of our B2B SaaS platform development. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced developer who thrives in an autonomous environment and wants to make a significant impact on a growing compliance technology solution.

As our lead developer, you'll work remotely with occasional collaboration days in our Claremont office (initially one day per week, with long-term flexibility). You'll engage directly with our founders to understand client needs, translate requirements into technical solutions, and drive the full development lifecycle of features that directly impact our clients' success.

Key Responsibilities

Lead full-stack development of the 3Lines Platform, working autonomously on feature design and implementation

Collaborate with founders to deeply understand client requirements and translate them into technical specifications and mockups

Design and develop robust backend solutions using PHP/Laravel and modern frontend interfaces with React/TypeScript

Build and integrate AI-powered features that enhance our compliance automation capabilities

Maintain clean architecture with RESTful APIs connecting frontend and backend systems

Champion agile development practices and contribute to continuous improvement of our development processes

Ensure high-quality code delivery through testing, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving

Essential Requirements

7+ years of software development experience in commercial environments

Strong expertise in PHP/Laravel for backend development (Lumen experience advantageous)

Proficient in React and TypeScript for frontend development

Experience with JavaScript ES6+ and modern development practices

Database experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL

Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based architectures

Experience with RESTful API design and implementation

Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment

Excellent communication skills for direct client requirement gathering

Australian work rights (citizenship or permanent residency)

Highly Desirable

Experience with Material-UI (MUI) component library

JWT authentication implementation (Laravel JWT-Auth)

Stripe payment integration experience

Exposure to SurveyJS, OpenAI APIs, Supabase, and/or Outseta

Previous experience in compliance, regulatory, or B2B SaaS environments

Interest in AI/machine learning applications in business software
