THE EMPLOYER

Our client is a leading Australian Defence consulting and program management firm, trusted to deliver capability across some of the nation’s most significant land systems programs.

They are seeking an LNIC Technical Lead to support the Army’s Land Network Integration Centre (LNIC) on a high-profile Defence project with a focus on Joint Fires and deployable network integration.

THE ROLE

As the LNIC Technical Lead, you’ll oversee the design, testing, and integration of deployable ICT systems and Joint Fires components, contributing to the Land Combat System architecture.

You will develop engineering artefacts and test plans, support exercise and validation activities, and provide expert technical advice to Defence stakeholders. The role also involves drafting technical documentation, driving innovation initiatives, and representing LNIC in Joint Fires forums.

REQUIREMENTS

NV1 Australian Defence Security Clearance (MUST HAVE)

10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, building, testing, and supporting deployable ICT systems and networks

Strong systems engineering background, including test & evaluation planning and reporting

Technical expertise across network engineering, software development/configuration (Windows, Linux, middleware, COTS/MOTS)

Relevant vocational, academic, or industry qualifications (IT, networking, software development, or engineering)

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a high-performing team in a dynamic Defence environment
