- Permanent Full-Time – 35 hours per week
- Attractive salary ranging from $1,121.45 up to $1,286.40
- 12% Superannuation Contribution.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join Moree Plains Shire Council Dhiiyaan Aboriginal Centre as a Customer Service Officer. This full-time, permanent position is located in Moree.
As a Customer Service Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality service delivery to our community members and will be the frontline for our Dhiiyaan Aboriginal Centre
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing excellent customer service to all visitors and callers, offering assistance and information on Dhiiyaan Aboriginal Centre.
- Actively encouraging and supporting involvement and participation of Aboriginal families within Moree Plains Shire.
- Working closely with local Elders in special events.
- Handling enquiries and resolving issues effectively and efficiently, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document management to support the efficient operation of the office.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences. Previous experience in a customer service role, would be advantageous

The ideal candidate would have:
- Relevant qualification in Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Experience in working with Aboriginal people, their families, and communities with a strong commitment to the ethos of Indigenous culture and a willingness to promote and support cultural values as a member of the community.
- Relevant work experience in Administration support, customer service, record keeping procedures and preparation of correspondence and reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to relate to people at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
