We currently have the opportunity for a Records Information Management Officer to join our Records and Information Management team on a temporary basis.
As a Records Information Management Officer, you will:
- Assist Council’s Records Information Management Coordinator in the efficient and effective operation of Council’s Records
- Provide a customer-focused records and information service to the organisation
- Provide advice to staff on records management processes.
What we offer...
- Temporary full-time role, 35 hours per week until 16 July 2027
(a job share arrangement will be considered allowing the opportunity to work in the role on a temporary part time basis) - Commencing annual salary from $67,141 to $74,023
(salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience) - Progressive annual salary up to $81,610
- Plus 12% superannuation.
What you'll need to be successful in the role...
You’ll have the ability to provide accurate and timely advice on records management matters, to use your initiative to solve problems and to work under limited supervision. You’ll have an eye for detail along with excellent administrative and organisational skills and a strong customer service ethic.
In addition to this you’ll have:
- Certificate III in Recordkeeping and/or 2 years relevant professional experience in complex records and information management systems, and/or complex filing systems
- Solid knowledge of recordkeeping principles and practices for both physical and digital records
- Experience in the use of registering digital records into an EDRMS (Electronic Document and Records Management System)
- Experience working with the NSW State Records Act, General Disposal Authorities (GA39 & GA45) & Records and Information Management Standards
- Experience working with a range of software applications.

This is a child-related position. You will be required to provide Council with your valid and current Working with Children Check (WWCC) number as a condition of your employment. In addition, your employment will be subject to a National Criminal Record Check, Pre Employment medical and verification checks to determine your suitability for employment.
