We currently have an opportunity for a Compliance Officer – Parking to join our Environment and Compliance team.
As Compliance Officer – Parking, you will:
- Provide a safe and convenient parking environment for residents, visitors and businesses
- Provide a professional, effective and courteous law enforcement service to the community
- Enhance public safety and provide fair and equitable access to parking spaces
- Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of Council’s Integrated Planning as it relates specifically to the Strategies and Communities Department public safety and accessibility to parking and safety around schools
- Assist with ensuring Council meets its Legislative, Delivery and Operational Plans and Budgetary requirements.
What we offer...
- Permanent full-time role to be worked over a seven-day roster
(A job share arrangement will be considered for this role, providing opportunity to work in the role on a part time basis) - Commencing annual base salary from $67,141 to $74,023 plus penalties in accordance with the award including penalty rates for weekend work
- Progressive annual base salary up to $81,610
(salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience) - Plus 12% superannuation.
A merit list may be created for any roles that arise within the next six months. Future roles may include permanent part-time, full-time and casual arrangements.
What you'll need to be successful in the role...
You’ll work well as part of team and have excellent communication, customer service and conflict resolution skills. You’ll use these skills to represent Council in a positive manner and to work as an effective team member.
In addition to this you will have:
- Completion of recognised training course in Infringement Processing
- Previous local government, police or other regulatory enforcement experience
- Knowledge of NSW Road Rules including all parking regulations within the provisions
- Experience in implementing regulations relating to parking and road related matters
- Excellent communication, customer service and conflict resolution skills
- A current minimum Class C Driver’s Licence
- Flexibility to work on rotating roster shifts including weekend work.
Pre-Employment Checks
This is a child-related position. You will be required to provide Council with your valid and current Working with Children Check (WWCC) number as a condition of your employment. In addition, your employment will be subject to a National Criminal Record Check, Pre Employment Medical and verification checks to determine your suitability for employment.
