Ready to launch your career? Broken Hill City Council has an exciting career opportunity working within our Corporate and Customer Experience team as a Cadet Environmental Health Officer.
Reporting directly to the Manager Corporate & Customer Experience, you will be provided with a structured pathway to gain essential technical and professional skills to support the provision of a high standard of environmental health compliance in the community. This role involves enforcing public health and environmental legislation, inspecting premises, and investigating complaints related to environmental health issues.
We are seeking a bright, eager person who is interested in pursuing a career in environmental health. You will complete study in environmental health while gaining practical experience working in the role as a cadet. You will have the opportunity to work in a team environment and the ideal candidate should have a good understanding of customer service principles. The successful candidate will also have proven ability to communicate well with others, have high-level Microsoft Office skills and take a proactive approach to their work and study.
