About the Role
The Office & Operations Manager is responsible for the smooth, efficient and compliant running of Tiger Spider’s engineering office and corporate services. The role spans finance, job scheduling, people & culture, compliance, IT, facilities and marketing support — enabling the engineering team to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients and stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing
Finance & bookkeeping – raise invoices, run payroll, lodge BAS and super, follow up debtors, and prepare monthly management reports in QuickBooks Online.
Job scheduling & client service – triage calls and emails, code new jobs in JIRA, and coordinate with engineers to keep projects on track.
Team rhythm & communication – facilitate daily stand‑ups, weekly leadership and monthly staff meetings; keep the team informed via Microsoft Teams.
People & culture – maintain leave and HR records, support recruitment and onboarding, and assist with performance reviews.
Compliance champion – manage our ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and OH&S systems; schedule audits and close out actions.
IT & licensing – manage Microsoft 365, Auth0 and specialist engineering licences, as well as laptops and other IT assets.
Facilities & WHS – coordinate office access, contractors, supplies, and maintain a tidy, safe and well-functioning workspace.
Marketing support – keep website content current and support events, webinars and promotional materials.
We’re looking for
Someone who brings experience, structure and a steady hand — who enjoys being at the heart of a well-run business.
Proven experience (5+ years) as an Office Manager or similar role, ideally in a technical or professional services setting.
Strong bookkeeping and payroll skills (QuickBooks Online, Xero or similar), with working knowledge of Australian payroll and tax obligations.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and task-tracking platforms such as JIRA, Monday.com or Asana.
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and reliability.
Exposure to ISO quality or cybersecurity systems (nice to have, but not essential).
A natural organiser who can juggle priorities, spot issues early, and communicate clearly across all levels.
