At Talenting, we support organisations to solve real workforce challenges – from strategic people planning through to recruitment, compliance and implementation. As a boutique HR firm, we offer both deep expertise and flexible capacity to help clients achieve practical, people-focused outcomes.
Our team is very active in the broader human resource profession, including with the Australian HR Institute and the WA HR community.
What our new HR Consultant looks like…
We’re seeking a Consultant to deliver HR projects and ongoing support to our client partners, drawing on your strong technical foundation, structured task and project management and ability to communicate professionally and clearly. You’ll work closely with our team (Senior Consultants, Directors and Managing Partner) and contribute directly to high-quality work across diverse clients and sectors.
It is also a unique opportunity to grow your professional exposure across the HR profession in WA.
Key Responsibilities include:
Deliver HR generalist consulting work across projects and ongoing client relationships.
Prepare clear, client-ready documentation including position descriptions, employment contracts/letters, policies and procedures and reports.
Contribute to consulting activities such as job design, policy review, workforce planning, recruitment, classification assessment and employee relations.
Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to clarify needs, communicate updates, and ensure delivery.
Use business systems including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Asana and Harvest to track and manage work.
Work independently and in partnership with others to ensure projects stay on track and aligned to client objectives.
What we’re looking for
A capable HR generalist with sound judgment and a solid grasp of employment and workplace practices.
Sound working knowledge of Australian employment law and ability to interpret and apply Modern Awards and relevant industrial instruments.
A high level of written accuracy and attention to detail across all client-facing work.
Professional communication skills with a collaborative and respectful approach.
Digital confidence, particularly with Microsoft 365 and modern workplace tools.
Tertiary qualification in HR, IR or a related field, with an interest in continued development.
Experience in an HR consultant, business partner or officer role, ideally in a professional services or project-based context.
The role and what we offer
This is a full-time role, with time split between our West Perth office, client offices, and working from home. We’re open to flexible work arrangements, including part-time hours or school-friendly schedules for the right candidate.
You’ll also enjoy:
Mentoring and coaching from skilled, supportive colleagues within a collaborative, learning-centred environment.
Team Development & Career Program with a focus on building capability in human resources, industrial relations, as well as consulting skills.
Annual professional development allowance of up to $2000 to attend agreed professional development opportunities aligned to your experience and career goals (i.e., conferences, paid courses, etc).
Generous additional leave - 5 weeks annual leave (including 3 days of Christmas leave and birthday leave), to support wellbeing throughout the year.
Access to flexible working hours and genuine work–life balance.
