Build a Commercial Function from the Ground Up in a Sector that Matters
We are a small, sector-specific software provider with deep roots in early childhood education. Our platform (HubHello) supports the operational, compliance, and administrative needs of educators and operators. It is shaped by long-term client relationships and a team with many years of hands-on sector experience.
This role leads the commercial function inside our small company and is backed by product, engineering, and support specialists. You will take ownership of pricing, market development, lead generation, sales, and client relationships. You will be the person who builds this engine for the first time.
There is no marketing team and no outbound sales machine. That is the work. You will craft the sales strategy, develop commercial materials, define processes, and test what works. You will not be doing this alone. There is a product expert and a sales support resource already in the team. Client relationships are strong. Support is consistently rated as a key strength. Our Engineering Sprint planning includes structured input from long-term customers through monthly client calls and direct input into delivery.
This is a remote-first company with the team working nationally and internationally. Executive Team members are based in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, and co-working spaces are available. The culture is delivery-focused, responsive, and open. We close the loop fast. We hold a weekly session where engineering, support, and commercial teams share what shipped and what matters to clients.
You will be part of a self-directed leadership group, working with the CEO, CFO, and Head of Engineering to define and deliver company objectives. The role is guided by the founders, who are active in strategic direction and governance, but not engaged in daily delivery.
Remuneration and Work Structure
Total fixed remuneration of $180,000 (inclusive of superannuation)
Full-time role with flexibility in engagement format (employee or contractor)
Incentive structure linked to growth, retention, and pricing improvements
Remote-first with standard weekday business hours (AEST); co-working access available
