About the role:

We’re looking for an experienced and driven General Manager to take over the lead of our office operations. You will be taking over the day to day critical functions from the business owners, who will focus more on business strategy & systems.This is a pivotal role, offering the chance to shape the future of our business while working alongside our seasoned team and operations head. The successful candidate will be hands-on, have excellent financial skills, and capable of fostering team and business growth.

What you'll be doing

Lead and develop an experienced office team, working closely with the head of operations, site supervisors

Continue to build strong relationships with key customer personnel by delivering great service and communication

Oversee financial management: budgeting, general ledger, reporting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable

Oversee procurement & ordering for both workshop and on-site needs

Manage commercial negotiations with suppliers, and subcontractors

Report on business performance to senior management and identify growth opportunities

Support recruitment, staff development, and employee relations

Handle training coordination

Manage WHS systems, meetings, and compliance

Ensure tax compliance and accurate reporting

What We’re Looking For

Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial management role (construction or transport industry preferred)

Skilled in financial software and reporting tools

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities

Demonstrated experience in managing teams

Highly organized with attention to detail

A team player with a hands-on, get-things-done approach
