Assistant Accountant

About the role

This role will be part of a small but high-performing finance team focused on core accounting and financial reporting for OPED Australia and its subsidiaries (OAPL – Clinical prosthetic and orthotics services and OPC Health – Distribution of healthcare products), based in our Clayton Head Office.

The main duties will be:

· Finance Support Activities

· Accounts payables support / back up

· Month-end close activities

· Assist with financial audits & preparation of financial statements

· Assist with Tax Compliance: BAS, FBT and Income tax return preparation

About you

Ideally, we are seeking someone who has 2-3 years relevant work experience, studying towards gaining there CA / CPA qualification. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Power BI and exposure to Microsoft Dynamic 365 Business Central and Syspro experience are highly advantageous.
