Courtney & Patterson Ford is a multi award winning dealership and has been in operation for more than 67 years. Since our humble beginnings we have grown to be a respected dealership in Melbourne.

We are currently looking for an exceptional individual to join our team in the role of Assistant Accountant on a 13 month Maternity Leave Fixed term contract.

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a similar role and will be confident dealing with a range of accounting processes (including payroll, account reconciliations, and general accounts administration).

Accounting qualifications and automotive industry experience would be highly regarded, however these are not essential.

We work in a fast paced environment and pride ourselves on providing a cooperative team environment so you will benefit from ongoing support and excellent training to ensure you are well versed in our systems and procedures.

Essential skills and attributes will include:

• Strong computer skills
• Ability to multi task
• High standards of professionalism
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Experience working with the Auto IT system would be an advantage but is not essential.

You will be responsible for:

• Payroll
• Payroll tax and super lodgement monthly
• Invoicing
• Reconciling all creditor statements
• Following up on all parts, services, and debtors weekly
• Daily banking support for all departments
• Petty Cash
• Costing and processing deals
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Other duties as required
