The Role

As an APS 5 Logistics Officer working in the GWEO Group within the Department of Defence, you will be working with some of the most exciting and complex guided weapons and explosive ordnance products used by the Australian Defence Force.

Every day will be different as you embrace opportunities to:

  • Provide professional advice and develop fundamental logistic information and policy to meet capability requirements
  • Work across multiple logistics disciplines: Sustainment, Procurement, Maintenance, Reliability and Maintainability, Configuration Management, Reporting, and Supply Support
  • Provide integrated logistic support for guided weapons and munitions
  • Exercise sound judgment in applying appropriate practices and procedures
  • Prepare briefs and reports for relevant stakeholders
  • Build and sustain stakeholder relationships to meet business objectives.

The Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Group is one of the key strategic groups for Defence with a focus on manufacturing, acquiring, maintaining and repairing guided weapons and their critical components.
