Australian Government agency seeking APS5 Property Officer for a 6-month contract

Your new company

Australian Government agency responsible for promoting health and safe workplaces, office based centrally in Canberra. They are currently seeking an APS5 Property Officer to join their team, initially for a 6-month Non-Ongoing contract.

Your new role

• Day-to-day management of agencies' property portfolio
• Main contact and coordinator for property service provider overseeing all property/facility requirements
• Support in the implementation of improvements to policies, processes and systems
• Manage/Coordinator subcontractors and outsourced service providers
• Manage maintenance requests logged with service provider to ensure completion
• Provide technical knowledge in property and facilities management
• Provide input to strategic direction for operational delivery of facilities services
• Undertake procurement processes inline with commonwealth procurement rules
  
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience in a Property/Facilities-based role
• Demonstrated ability to work within a governance framework, guidelines and procedures
• Knowledge of the commonwealth procurement rules
• Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively with a growing, diverse team of APS staff
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• You must be an Australian Citizen.
