THE POSITION:

Council's Social Planning and Community Development division is looking for a high performing individual who is passionate about making a difference in the community. As a Social Planning and Advocacy Officer – Health Development, you will use your project/program management, communication and organisational skills to implement and evaluate health initiatives to meet the health needs of the Fairfield City community.

You should have a good understanding of the social and community issues facing disadvantaged communities and how that impacts on health outcomes and have the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including those in the Fairfield City Health Partnership and Alliance (FCHPA), the South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) and South Western Sydney Primary Health Network (SWSPHN), to develop strategies or innovative solutions.

SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:

  • Temporary full-time position, 70 hours per fortnight up to 30 June 2027 (with possibility of extension)
  • This position is a Grade 6 and the starting salary is $95,321 p.a.
