We're looking for a motivated Supervisor to join our team at The Bird In Hand Inn!

The Bird In Hand Inn is a traditional country pub with a loyal local following. Whether it's a quiet midweek dinner or a busy weekend evening, we offer honest hospitality with a personal touch.

Key Responsibilities:

· Opening and closing the venue, including safe balancing and float preparation

· Delivering warm, authentic customer service to enhance guest experience

· Ensuring RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) compliance

· Monitoring gaming areas and ensuring compliance with RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling) standards

· Operating and maintaining gaming machines, TAB and KENO facilities

· Cash handling and end-of-day reporting

· Training and mentoring junior team members

· Effectively managing conflict and customer complaints with patience, professionalism, and a solution-focused mindset

· Ensuring compliance with all licensing, health & safety, and venue policies

· Overseeing stock control, restocking, and maintaining overall venue presentation

Who We're Looking For:

· Minimum 12 months' experience in a similar supervisory or team leader role in hospitality

· Must hold current RSA & RCG certificates; ARCG is a bonus

· Skilled in overseeing gaming operations and addressing customer concerns effectively

· Takes initiative and shows sound judgement in high-pressure situations

· Dependable, well‑organised and flexible to work nights and weekends
