At Hanging Rock Winery, we’re on the lookout for a friendly, customer-focused superstar to lead our welcoming cellar door and help coordinate our events calendar.

Are you looking for a fun, interactive job in the wine industry whilst only working daytime hours? This may be the perfect job for you. We are looking for a dynamic, friendly person to lead our growing Cellar Door, Wine Club and ever popular in house and off-site events.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Supervising the daily cellar door operations and delivering a welcoming, premium customer experience

Leading and mentoring casual staff across cellar door and events to ensure that the Hanging Rock Cellar Door is renowned as a friendly, knowledgeable and inviting tourist destination in the region.

Working on the floor — conducting tastings, guiding wine sales and sharing our story. This includes executing point of sale strategies at the Cellar Door, including wine tasting structure, to attract sales, and Wine Club signups

Coordinating and running weekend, public holiday and seasonal events

Managing bookings and rosters using platforms like Now Book It and Deputy

Collaborating with the leadership team to meet sales and experience KPIs

Implement procedures around cleaning, inventory levels and ordering

About you:

Cellar door, hospitality or event management experience

Baseline wine knowledge and a passion for regional produce

Strong interpersonal and organisational skills

Confident using platforms like VinCreative, Deputy/TeamConnect, and Now Book It

Able to work autonomously and take initiative in a dynamic environment

Wine Club experience is a bonus

Friendly, confident and naturally great with people

Strong customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with all types of guests
